High Five für High End Qualität
The next generation is here! The new Pentacam® AXL Wave is the first device to combine Scheimpflug tomography with biometry, total wavefront, objective refraction and retroillumination. Equipped with high-end hardware and software for optimum treatment and satisfied patients, the new Pentacam® AXL Wave makes no compromises on quality!

Included Technologies

Scheimpflug Tomography
Proven since many years and meanwhile the established gold standard, the Pentacam® is unrivalled for its capabilities around contact-free, tear-film-independent measurement, imaging and analysis of the anterior eye segment.

Objective refraction
This decisive parameter is determined by wavefront analysis before and after surgery.

Wavefront analysis of the whole eye
The total lower and higher order aberrations of the eye are measured using Hartman-Shack technology. Visual representations serve to assess the individual contributions of the cornea and the crystalline lens to the optical quality of the visual system.

Optical biometry
Contact-free axial length measurement with proven precision. An indispensable technology for myopia management and IOL calculation.

Retroillumination
For preoperative assessment of lens opacities and postoperative inspection of IOL position.
The Tool For

Screening
The Pentacam® serves to measure and analyze the cornea as well as the entire anterior eye segment.
- Ectasia detection and monitoring
- Corneal pathologies
- Closed angle glaucoma

Refractive Surgery
The Pentacam® supplies important information ahead of refractive surgeries such as LASIK or IOL implantation.
- Corneal refractive surgery
- Refractive lens exchange
- Phakic IOLs

Cataract Surgery
The Pentacam® assists in selecting the right IOL for cataract surgery.
- Pre-op screening
- IOL selection and calculation
- Barrett RX post-op tool

Visual Performance
Optotypes enable you to simulate an objective assessment of the eye’s components. This analysis makes it possible to not only evaluate total eye aberration but also determine the individual contributions made by the crystalline lens and the cornea. By differentiating between the eye’s components you obtain an accurate insight into the optical properties of each, as well as specific needs for correction. This can be a great asset, whether in your diagnostic work, when planning a refractive procedure, selecting an IOL, treating patients for dry eye or providing postoperative care.
Why We Love the Pentacam®
Accessory products
Corvis® ST
Evaluation of corneal biomechanical response, tonometry and pachymetry
The revolutionary Corvis® ST records the reaction of the cornea to a defined air pulse using a newly developed high-speed Scheimpflug camera. This camera captures over 4 300 images per second.
Keratograph 5M
The multi-purpose topographer for contact lens fitting an dry eye screening.
The OCULUS Keratograph 5M is an advanced corneal topographer with a built-in real keratometer and a color camera optimized for external imaging.
