Esto arroja un valor de la presi\u00f3n intraocular que est\u00e1 mucho menos influido por estos factores. Por primera vez es posible medir tambi\u00e9n con precisi\u00f3n la PIO cuando la biomec\u00e1nica de la c\u00f3rnea est\u00e1 muy alterada.<\/p>\n<p>La f\u00f3rmula de la correcci\u00f3n se deriv\u00f3 en base a las llamadas simulaciones de elementos finitos. Las simulaciones num\u00e9ricas se emplearon para analizar sistem\u00e1ticamente la influencia de la rigidez corneal, su grosor, la curvatura y las propiedades biomec\u00e1nicas en la medici\u00f3n de la PIO del Corvis\u00ae ST. Tomando como fundamento los resultados de esta simulaci\u00f3n, se deriv\u00f3 una f\u00f3rmula anal\u00edtica que compensa las principales variables independientes (biomec\u00e1nica corneal y grosor de la c\u00f3rnea).<\/p>\n<p>La biOP se valid\u00f3 repetidas veces mediante estudios experimentales (ojos de cad\u00e1ver) y estudios cl\u00ednicos.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La PIO (biOP) corregida biomec\u00e1nicamente tiene en cuenta el grosor de la c\u00f3rnea, la edad y las propiedades biomec\u00e1nicas de la c\u00f3rnea.
