The Oculus goal is to provide eye care professionals with the very best diagnostic technology available to allow them to improve their patients’ vision, health and happiness.

During the American Academy of Ophthalmology in 2005, Oculus launched the new PentacamHR. This new device is the continuation and further refinement of the popular and well-known Pentacam.

The Pentacam has enabled physicians to analyze the anterior segment with an accuracy that was previously not available, thus permitting them to diagnose conditions and diseases with greater confidence and repeatability in less time.

The new HR Pentacam has an improved optic design and a high resolution 1.45 Mega Pixel Camera. Primary advantages are:

	Crisper and sharper Scheimpflug pictures allowing excellent IOL and phakic IOL implant imaging.
	More precise presentation of the corneal layers
	Cornea imaging via a fine scan produced by 100 images in less than 2 seconds for improved accuracy.
	An active, shifting fixation target to allow patients with high ametropia an easy fixation.

The PentacamHR is a result of our dedication to improve our product quality while living up to the Oculus motto, “We focus on progress”.

Customers, who currently own a Pentacam, can upgrade their system to the HR model, if desired. Both systems, the Pentacam and the PentacamHR, will be available in future.
