OCULUS SDI (Stereoscopic Diagonal Inverter) Bimanual surgery under natural viewing conditionsWide angle systems such as BIOM 3 or indirect wide field contact lenses, for observation of the ocular fundus deliver an inverted image, rendering them unsuitable for bimanual vitreous surgery. When used with the operating microscope, the SDI erects the inverted image of a wide-angle observation system while maintaining correct stereopsis, thus enabling bimanual vitreous surgery under panoramic viewing conditions. Easy handling of the SDI IIThe SDI II is available in two different versions, a manually switched type, SDI II m, independent from electrical supply and, electrically switched, the SDI II e for increased comfort. The new high light: SDI 3cThis version combines maximum comfort and compact dimensions. Together with BIOM 3c and the corresponding combi-foot switch, this system enables motorized focus of the wide field image. Also the reinverting function of the SDI 3c is controlled by the same foot switch. Connectors left and right side of the housing of SDI 3c allow easy and comfortable use of the BIOM 3c. |
