The Winning Duo for Corneal Biomechanics

OCULUS Corvis® ST OCULUS Pentacam® AXL

Tisch mit OCULUS Corvis® ST und OCULUS Pentacam® AXL

Corneal biomechanics: What are the advantages for me?

The combination of biomechanical data from the Corvis® ST and tomographical data from Pentacam® examinations enable you to safely provide care for more patients:

  • You improve identification of patients at risk of developing ectasia after refractive surgery.
  • You have a very precise procedure for early detection of keratoconus available to you.
  • You gain new possibilities in glaucoma screening through corneal biomechanics. This is due to precise intraocular pressure measurements based on biomechanically corrected intraocular pressure (bIOP) readings.

Higher certainty in refractive screening

The combination of corneal biomechanics and tomography increases the precision of refractive screening thanks to the Tomographic Biomechanical Index (TBI). The TBI shows you the overall assessment of ectasia risk at a glance. This increases both safety and efficiency, as it enables you to much more easily detect and reduce the danger of ectasia, among other things.

Corvis® ST

Comprehensive biomechanics analysis

Dynamic Scheimpflug technology was the first to measure in detail the biomechanical response of the cornea to a pulse of air. Corneal biomechanics play a crucial role in intraocular pressure measurements, in the development of ectasia, and in refractive surgical interventions.

Uses

  • Biomechanical ectasia detection
  • Follow-up after cross-linking
  • High-precision IOP measurements
  • Glaucoma screening based on biomechanics

Pentacam® AXL

Detailed anterior segment tomography

The Pentacam® AXL delivers all-important information on everything from the epithelium to the posterior surface of the crystalline lens in 2 seconds. With its many easy-to-interpret diagnostic tools, it is invaluable for pre-operative diagnostics. A comparison with normative data allows for simple and rapid screening (Fast Screening Report).

Uses

  • Tomographic ectasia detection
  • Selection of premium IOL in 4 steps
  • IOL calculations for spherical, aspherical and toric IOLs
  • Optimization of IOL constants
